Basil Essential Oil

Description:

Basil essential oil is a clear, light and herby essential oil derived from leaves and flowers of Ocimum basilicum plant, commonly known as sweet basil. It has a fresh, herbal, and slightly spicy aroma and is widely used in aromatherapy, skincare, and natural medicine. It pairs well with Ylang Ylang, Clargy Sage, and Geranium but can also work with most herby, minty, citrus and woodsy essential oils.

Basil essential oil has uplifting and energizing properties, helping to reduce stress, mental fatigue and anxiety through aromatherapy and contains anti-inflammatory & antibacterial properties that help with acne and skin infections and inflammations. It is also used to deter mosquitoes and other insects when applied to the skin or diffused. 

How to Use:

1) Diffusion: Add a few drops to a diffuser for mental clarity and relaxation

2) Skincare: Dilute with a carrier oil (such as grapeseed, jojoba, or apricot kernel) 

3) Massage: Mix with a carrier oil to ease muscle tension

Precautions:

• Always dilute essential oils before applying to the skin. 
• Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a healthcare professional
• Conduct a patch test to check for allergies
• Not recommended for young children in high concentrations
